Welcome to Agni. My name is Rachel, and I’m the heart, hands, and soul behind this earth-conscious clothing line.

My first real look into the production and consequences of fast fashion shattered something in me. My best friend of 20 years — along with many of her coworkers — suffered serious health issues after prolonged exposure to toxic chemicals embedded in their work uniforms. These were the same chemicals used to dye and preserve the fabric, chosen for durability but never meant to be worn so close to the skin, day after day. While I can’t fix the uniform industry, I knew I had to create an alternative. Something safe. Something beautiful. Something that loves the body back.

Agni was born from that ache — and that fire. Every piece is made from organic cotton, one of the least processed and most earth-friendly fabrics available. I wanted to offer clothing that is not only kind to the skin but that could one day return to the soil — breaking down, composting, nourishing the very earth it came from. Circular, intentional, and rooted in care.

Agni means fire. It is the spark of transformation. This brand rose from the ashes of self-doubt, from grief, and from a calling to make something rooted in authenticity and healing. It is woven from the same threads that run through my life as a mother, a farmer, a healer, and a steward of this land.

When I’m not designing clothing, you’ll find me in the soil — tending to the earth that feeds my family and my soul. You’ll find me mothering my two boys, braiding wisdom into our days. And you’ll find me holding space for women, for community, and for the slow, sacred work of returning home to ourselves.

Agni is more than a brand. It is a prayer. A reclamation. A remembering.

Thank you for being here. I’m so honored to walk this path with you.

With love and fire,
Rachel

Garment Care for Your Agni Pieces

Each Agni garment is made with love using organic, natural fibers—materials chosen with your health and the earth in mind. Because these fibers are minimally processed and free from synthetic coatings, they thrive with a gentler kind of care.

To honor their integrity and longevity:

Hand wash in cold water with a mild, eco-friendly detergent

Do not wring—gently press out water or roll in a towel

Air dry flat or hang in the shade to preserve shape and color

Avoid bleach or harsh chemicals, which can damage natural fibers

Iron on low if needed, or embrace the natural texture that comes with slow living

With each wash, your garment softens and continues its journey—just like you. Thank you for caring for it with intention.

Agni is more than a clothing line—it’s a living, breathing story of healing, sustainability, and rooted beauty.
